I've always been nervous about getting a massage. I am extremely ticklish and hate when people touch me - aka: worst massage client ever. So when my boyfriend treated me to a massage, I was pleasantly surprised by my amazing experience!
The ladies at Galleria Day Spa truly know how to make you feel at ease when it's your first massage. As soon as you walk through the door, you're offered fruit infused water with yummy treats (I'm all about those truffles, y'all) and greeted by smiling faces.
I am in loooove with their front sitting area. They have the best gifts for your favorite people in your life or to treat yo'self. It also smells phenomenal. You're instantly relaxed as soon as you walk in the door. You can't beat that feeling!
They also have a cute boutique section up front too. The last time I was there, they had a tooon of maroon gear perfect for game days!
Honestly, I had such a great experience because everyone who works there takes their time with you and doesn't rush. I've had two massages, a pedicure, and manicure there and each of those people didn't make me feel uncomfortable or hurried to get to the next appointment. They make sure to schedule their manis and pedis for one hour slots just to make sure you have an enjoyable experience. Plus, only two people can have manis/pedis at a time just so you can have a relaxing time. Isn't that awesome? I love when businesses focus on the customer experience.
Both of my massages were perfect. At my first one, my masseuse took the time to explain how the process worked and made me feel comfortable enough to say if something was painful or if I needed her to focus on a certain area. I really appreciated that because I am one of those people who doesn't usually speak up when I don't like something. (Whoops?)
At my second massage, I told her that I had been running a lot and she tailored my massage to a more athletic massage. It was fantastic. Honestly, if I could go once a week, I would. Plus, the room is always dimly lit with candles so it makes a good place for a mini-nap. (So guilty of doing this.)
I highly recommend Galleria Day Spa to anyone who is looking for a nice, relaxing escape. So if you're looking to treat yo'self or someone special in your life, definitely check them out!
