Honestly, the weather could not have been more ideal for the Texas Reds Festival this past weekend. The sun was shining and, more importantly, the wine was flowing.
I never miss Texas Reds because it's the perfect event meant for everyone. I mean, look at the festival directory above. You couldn't have a bad time even if you tried your hardest. Plus, it's basically free fun unless you buy a wine or craft beer wristband. I usually go with my best friend, but this year I decided to venture out on my own and enjoy a day to myself.
Truly, going by myself was the best experience I've ever had. It's not that I don't enjoy going with friends, but I forgot how nice it is to just be with yourself doing whatever you want. I was able to look at every single shop on the main street, pet some puppies at the adoption tent (obvs I can't miss out on that), check out every single wine they had there, do a little people watching, and take looooots of pictures - that usually annoys my friends. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ #bloggerstruggles
They also had a huge cool zone where you could sit and watch all the football games playing that day. That was a major plus for me this year because I had a really bad sunburn on my shoulders and wasn't a fan of the sun. Now, the only downfall about the weekend they chose this year was that it landed on the same weekend Texas A&M played Arkansas in Dallas. They always host it during an away game weekend, which is really nice for us die-hard fans, but I feel like they really missed out on a lot more people attending. (Okay, fine. That's just the marketer in me complaining.)
If you looking for a fun date idea, enjoy the day with your family, or just wanna get wine drunk (I mean, who doesn't?), I highly recommend checking out the Texas Reds Festival! I decided next year I am definitely getting in on that grape stomping. Those people were hardcore and hilarious.
Did you go to Texas Reds? What's your favorite thing to do there?
