Summer To-Do List for #BCSTX Twenty-Somethings

This view is gorgeous, am I right? My boyfriend took this last week when he was in Jackson Hole, Wyoming (without me to my extreme disappointment).

college station summer to do list

Even though I'm a post-grad and no longer have summer breaks, I still look forward to summer. Texas is beautiful in the summertime. There's no place like it. I feel like it's my duty to appreciate this amazing weather while I can after all the crazy rain for the past month.

Here are my top 10 things I want to knock off my summer to-do list:

1) Sing my heart out at Karaoke night at The Tap on Mondays. Trust me, this is the place to be on Mondays. The regulars will shock you with their singing abilities - sometimes in a good way, but mostly in a bad way. (That's why we love them.)

2) Dominate in trivia at Duddley's Draw on Tuesdays. The same company also hosts trivia nights at Fox & Hound. You can find a schedule here.

3) Hit up Ozona's for Women Wednesdays. Can't beat some mid-week dollar margs!

4) Go to The Tap for the piano bar on Wednesday. Might as well make my way over after some dollar margs. I've never been but I heard it's actually pretty awesome.

5) Go to Brazos Valley Bombers games on Thursdays. Because it wouldn't be summer without baseball...and $1 margs. (Are you sensing a theme here?) They are actually a lot of fun because the mascot and staff are so interactive! You can find their schedule and other promotions here.

6) Walk the trails over at Lake Bryan. See, not everything I do will involve dollar margs! Lake Bryan has some really great walking and biking trails. I'm looking forward to changing up my exercise routine on the weekends out there!

7) Enjoy a dinner under a full moon with Ronin CookingThis is something I just recently discovered and it sounds like the shit. Ronin Cooking is a husband and wife duo cooking real food on their farm. Each month on the full moon, they host a dinner for the locals. They also host cooking classes which I'm definitely going to try.

8) Shop for fresh foods at the Brazos Valley Farmers' Market on Sundays. I'm especially excited to do this because I love supporting my local community and I'm learning to eat more fresh foods than fast food. It's held between 8:00am to 12:00pm every Sunday between 21st and 22nd streets in Downtown Bryan.

9) Attend First Friday in Downtown Bryan. Honestly, you should do this at least once. There are so many awesome local vendors and bands. It's impossible to not have a good time.

10) Do a wine tasting at Messina Hof. Oddly enough, I have never been to Messina Hof even though some of their wine is my most favorite wine in the entire world. I heard that you should visit their winery at least once, so I'm excited to go visit!

What are you doing this summer??
