After some feedback from readers, I've decided to bring back Friday Faves to share some of my favorite things I've seen or read around the web. Since these past two weeks have been dedicated to Texas A&M sorority recruitment, I wanted to share a few of my favorite sites and stores for sorority women at Texas A&M.
Texas A&M Panhellenic // If you're not already following Texas A&M's CPC (Collegiate Panhellenic Council) on Twitter or Pinterest, you need to start today. They're really good about keeping you up to date on what is happening in Greek Life and with all of the sororities. Right now, check out their hashtag #tamurecruitment14 to see other women who are going through recruitment and to see what the sororities are doing to prepare for you all. Their Pinterest page also offers a lot of ideas for outfits for recruitment if you're struggling on what to wear.
Pine Boutique // Pine is a local boutique in College Station located right off of Texas and George Bush Drive. (Super convenient if you live in the sorority house or on campus.) Pine and their sister story Merge will carry a selection of sorority items, such as the Kris Nations necklaces above, from time to time. So I highly recommend checking these places out during the first week of school after you've received your bid. Also, if you haven't found outfits for recruitment yet, I highly recommend going to either of these stores. Merge is extremely budget friendly for college students and has high quality clothing. Pine carries a lot of my favorite brands, such as Kate Spade, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, etc. Follow Pine and Merge on Instagram for daily updates on what's in their stores.
Levo League // Seriously, any college woman, post-grad, or sorority girl should be following Levo League. They offer so much great advice about how to make it through college, how sororities benefit you in the long run, and a ton of career advice. Some of my favorite Levo League articles about sorority life include 7 Networking Lessons Being in a Sorority Teaches You, How My Sorority Helped My Career, and 10 Famous Women Who Were in Sororities. Follow them on Pinterest and Twitter for sure.
Sorority Sugar // I really really really love this Tumblr and their Pinterest because they offer so many great articles about Greek life and a ton of different sisterhood ideas for sororities. I highly recommend reading through the "My Sorority Story" articles if you're looking for real life insight into being in a sorority and going through recruitment.
I just want to say good luck to all of you who will be going through Texas A&M recruitment next week! If you're feeling unprepared or want to learn more about recruitment, I recommend reading some of my articles from earlier this week.
Have any questions about recruitment or want to share some of your favorite sites to go for sorority stuff? Would love to hear about them! :)
