When you're a post grad, you start to have a lot more expenses than in college. It doesn't matter if you've landed a job with an amazing salary or if you work for $15/hour. You're paying for more things now and it can be overwhelming. This is why I put myself on a budget after graduation and started cutting funds in places that I use to splurge, such as in makeup.
At first, I was worried about trying 'drug store' products. I know most of the makeup goes for around $2 to $5, but what if it's horrible? That's money that could have gone toward something like $2 margs. (Obviously, my budget factors in happy hour. #priorities) I was afraid of wasting money and being stuck with something I would never use again.
I finally decided to bite the bullet because I've been so annoyed with my makeup melting off in this Texas summer. I had seen some people recommend e.l.f. Mist & Spray on Pinterest, so I decided I would try it first because it was only $3 at Target.
Let me tell you, that's the best $3 I've ever spent. It says on the box that it sets makeup for up to 12 hours. I use it everyday and mine lasts around 7-8 hours before I have to touch it up a little. Buuuut that could be because I live in 123 degree weather.
It's really simple to use. I hold it about 6 inches away and spray it once on both sides of my face. For me, it dries pretty quickly. Your face feels wet for about 30 seconds and then you don't feel it anymore. It also doesn't make your face look shiny like I thought it would. (Thank goodness.) This product has quickly become one of my makeup essentials. I definitely recommend you try it, especially since it's only $3. Then treat yourself to a $2 margarita. ;)
Have y'all tried e.l.f. Mist & Spray? Do y'all have any other drug store product recommendations? I'm excited to try out other things!
